When boredom
strikes, we look for ways to make us busy that sometimes lead us to the
discovery of our inner creativity.
This is somehow
true for Russel Gerald Parcon, a 2nd year AB Communication Student of STI Orca,
and a fellow Pulse member, who, because of his boredom, were able to create and
submit his designs for the “SM Youth Teegram T-Shirt design competition” of SM
Youth’s Tee Culture; a brand of Shirt for teens and teens-at-heart being sold
nationwide. He is among the 30 youth designers who won in the said competition.
It sounds easy
but when you’re in front of the screen suddenly all of your ideas get flushed
down the toilet like nothing happened, it’s not a bad thing to be left
quizzical and or thoughtless, it is a process in which you must find your inner
creativity and let it flow. Asel mainly handled the dilemma with ease; relaxing
and letting his work flow as his love for designing and editing a plethora of
stuff, show itself in his work. And to Sum things up he is ever so grateful to
have won, imagine over thousands of designs were submitted by different sorts
of people who might be, or if not are better than him. With over 30 winners and
luckily he was one of them.
So don’t be shy
upon entering that contest/competition, it wouldn’t hurt to lose and you
wouldn’t lose anything, except maybe the prize but that’s not the point.
Contests are merely events created for individuals to lighten up, let loose and
participate freely. Letting them-selves discover a new part of them that
they’ve been too shy to let out. Let this Serve as an inspiration for young
artists out there. Because maybe, just maybe, you’ll win in that competition
you’ve want to participate in.
